Market Day
Happily, Anna is well again although she still has a chesty cough. We drove to Devizes and looked around the flea market in the Corn Exchange, the Shambles and the usual Thursday market. We bought a few things and then had coffee in "Upstairs at Jacks".
This afternoon, I picked up Alison. Her husband made the most of her absence with a cycle ride all the way to Honey Street and back.
I introduced Alison to the Sidmouth Club and we hope she will soon start attending, giving her husband a whole 8 hours respite! She really enjoyed herself; joining in with singing, tea and cake and a game that involved throwing bean bags through holes!
When we left, we bumped into an old friend of her's who recognised dementia. The friend asked me to pass on her telephone number and said she would visit Alison. So many people with dementia loose their friends so it was wonderful to meet someone ready to reconnect. It makes me feel weepy
A wonderful day!
