JCB duck

I went to a networking meeting at JCB HQ today and was quite impressed by their facilities and the story of how the JCB family have built the Company from a shed to a worldwide brand.

However I was even more impressed as I drove out and glanced over to their landscaped lake. What was that bird and that duck and that ....

I had to stop and take a look. they didn't tell us on the tour that Mr Bamford liked birds and had many years ago begun a tradition of adding a new type of bird to the lakes each year. I had to look that up.


This beauty is apparently is a Hooded Merganser, a first for me.


I also took the opportunity to call back on the falconer I met on Sunday and took some nice shots of his Harris Hawk (in extra)
