Day 98 of 366 - The Water Tower!
Today's image was taken this afternoon near the edge of Kenilworth. It is an image of The Water Tower of Kenilworth. The tower was built during the 1770's and for just over 70 years was used as a Windmill to grind up corn and cereal. The tower was later converted into a water tower to help supply water to the town of Kenilworth. It remained the towns primary water source until 1939 when the water supply was upgraded. The tower still remained as the secondary water source until the early 1960's. After that the tower was sold off and it was converted into a private residence in the early 1970's.
The photo was taken using the App Camera+ on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Lightroom to edit the picture. I cropped and straightened the image and applied some Clarity and detail. I then boosted the vibrancy of the sky. Next I used the app Waterlogue to apply the Natural paint preset with medium stroke intensity. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights Preset, the Vibrant FX and a small dark Vignette. I then added the Canvas texture and the Burlap frame.
