Mt Wilson
Today we were without electricity, owing to installation of a power pole nearby.
Adele and I took ourselves off to Mt Wilson, which is a delightful village a half hour's drive away.
It has a large number of beautiful cold climate exotic gardens, an abundance of tree ferns, a fibro church and a permanent population of 62.
It was the perfect day for it, as it was misty and lush with beautiful colour.
Apart from a few photographers we had the place to ourselves.
The first garden as you enter Mt Wilson is Breenhold.
We stopped there and stayed there.
Breenhold is a very beautiful, romantic and simple garden, never more so than in this weather.
If you've seen 'The Great Gatsby' you will have seen much of it there.
Its massive avenues are the perfect backdrop for vintage cars and beautiful people.

Adele had to rush back for a meeting, but we just had time to fit in a delicious lunch at Ashcroft's.
