The Promise

This beautiful folded bud holds the promise of a Mandevilla also known as a  Rocktrumpet Plant. Once more I have to confess this is not an Australian native, but South American. I had to capture it before it faded off for winter and have to confess they are so eye catching climbing on the verandah poles of the administrative building close by. My extra is of this very pretty flower in full bloom. All our natives are beginning to bloom so the winter period is looking very promising.  Watch this space!
