...Rain!!
Cause for celebration! This morning it was so hot out that I worked up a drenching sweat standing perfectly still, trying to get shots of an American Snout (butterfly).
Quite a day followed...
It got up to 98 F by noon
Then a huge thunderstorm rolled through
Debbi ran inside when the lightening started breaking above her head
She ran back out when it stopped, camera and bits of glass in hand
She found bugs and things
She ran back inside when the thunder about took out her remaining ear drum
She then jumped out of her skin when the giant hail started pelting the windows
Cats long gone, hiding under the bed
Debbi contemplates getting under the bed with them
Lights go out
Lights come back on
And so it goes...
If you'd like to see the other picks of the day, I've posted my 8 top choices including the American Snout (that name kills me - I can't stop giggling) Here on Flickr.
Thanks for propelling little Mr. P-Hummie into the Spotlight today. The crazy weather today hasn't slowed the hummers down one bit and the pint sized dog-fights continue unabated. All the other birds, and Mimsy, wisely retreated to beat the heat today.
It's Wednesday - hump day! And it's finally raining here in dry, hot, sticky NJ!
