The art of scything

Nicer Newburgh is a small group of people who maintain the village's flower tubs and troughs and communal planting areas. This is Ian, one of our stalwarts. Today he was scything the reeds and rough grass on the verges at the entrance to the village. As a son of the soil, he knows what he is doing!
