West Bay

This morning we drove along the coast to Bridport and then down to nearby West Bay on the Jurassic Coast where I took this shot. I didn't watch the recent TV drama 'Broadchurch' but if you did you might recognise the view; apparently the first episode was filmed here and I suspect this was probably where they found the body. After a wander round West Bay and then another round Bridport (where I found a butchers selling very tasty looking pies and pasties; the first of which is about to be tested) we headed for home. Being a Friday at the end of the school holidays the road past Stonehenge was very busy but it only added about 40 minutes to the journey so we got back in about three and a half hours.

I've added an extra which I took this morning and which I'd intended for my Blip; a view at Teignmouth from just behind the B&B where we stayed; the river opens out very wide here just before it joins the sea and is, of course, tidal at this point.
