Wanaka

Today we went to Wanaka- we visited Lake Matheson on the way, also known as the mirror lakes as they capture the reflection of Mt Cook and Mt Tasman: the largest mountains in New Zealand. In the evening we went all out and cooked lamb steaks with vegetables and rice (lamb is so cheap in New Zealand!!), however cooking in a hostel, in a small kitchen with loads of other travellers and limited amount of pans and cutlery is not ideal.
This snap was taken on the drive down, the route is so scenic- we never get bored of just looking out the window.
