Food for Thought
A strange day.
Anyway, it's over.
One highlight was being able to have coffee and a chocolate biscuit sitting on the pier at the harbour. We had a wee bit of sunshine and no wind.
Yes, the Blip. A conundrum.
These lovely pine trees are in the car park at the harbour. But, when planting public spaces in Scotland I reckon they (private sector and public) use deciduous trees 90% of the time.
Deciduous trees have leaves on them for only 5-6 months, so the rest of the year we look at bare twigs. Why?
Why not plant evergreens - not 100% but (say) 75% so that we have green all year?
Maybe "twigs" are cheaper. It always comes down to money, doesn't it.
I had other philosophical and behavioural challenges to address today, but won't bore you.
