Songkran

Songkran is a Buddhist ceremony traditionally celebrating the end of the dry season and the passage to the wet season. It also corresponds to Phimai the Thai/Lao New Year.
All public buildings keep a corner like this one for people to celebrate this ceremony: they fill the small bowl with holy water and slowly water the image of the Buddha.
