Gardening

While little one was having a nap this morning I ventured out to do my first ever spot of solo gardening. Armed with secateurs and my gloves I cut some bushes and trees back, shovelled up some moss, and picked up some stray leaves and twigs.  Felt quite pleased with my efforts. 

If anyone knows what this plant is can they let me know? It is a large bush that I want to cut back quite a bit but want to read about it first to make sure I'm treating it well!
