It's not about them!
the things she told us
results of long reflection
source of new musings
A wonderful evening with Patti Smith in a smallish theatre (no more than 200 persons) where she talked about M Train and other writings and her life in general.
I had the occasion of asking a question and asked her what place photography held in her life. Those of you who have read M Train know that the book is richly adorned with her photographs - and I had seen her drawings and photographs exhibition at the Cartier Foundation back in 2008. Surprisingly enough, she said she considers herself an amateur - a nineteenth century amateur, to be precise - and she only takes photos to show the people who were not with her at the moment things that might interest them.
I added a set in Flickr.
