The close up on a Dunnock

This Dunnock almost perched on the end of my lens!
  I had to step back to get within the minimum focusing distance of my Big Sig,Which is about 2.5 mts I think.
  It was so keen to get to the Niger seed that it didn't notice me in my shed/hide.It didn't notice me?
