AN INVITATION TO KNOCK

I spent this morning in Valletta, the capital city of the Mediterranean Island of Malta. I needed to renew my passport and as I walked to the passport office I moved fast and slow and slower ... sometimes stopping to capture a curve or an angle in stone, a light, or something or someone : anything that can be framed!

Amongst the multitude of delightful things, the city is filled with many beautiful doors and on many of the doors, amazing door knockers. This is just one example of a very simple one!

And having a passport, I thought upon reflection during the day, is in many ways the the knocker that makes "entering" in another country possible.
