Life on the Good Intent

Wallowing

So tired tonight - worked a twelve hour stint with sixty mile round trip in the most appalling road conditions.
Work is tough, I am tired of being cast as the baddy because I want to do our best for our patients. There would be an outcry if they didn't get fed or the drugs they need, so why keep whittling away at our budgets and asking us to do more and more tests with fewer staff and less money?
So apologies for not commenting tonight - I need to sleep and be back at the coalface early in the morning.

Expressions of sympathy or kick up the A**e as appropriate welcome.

However the clouds were lifting from the Ochills as I got home and the rain had slowed to a mere drizzle.
No way was I taking my camera outside; the cats put on a good show of defending Fortress Cardboard Box from an overhead attack by Finn but in my current state I have resorted to an indoor flower blip. They smell so good, and mingled with the scents of strawberries and ripening melon, it does feel like summer inside.
