  I found this cluster, one of several at the base of a silver birch tree in the garden. It wasn’t my intended blip, but I am happy to add these fungi as a journal entry.
 
If someone can identify this variety I will be most appreciative.
 
Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s expansive view of sea and sky. Today, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and once again very warm autumn temperatures. It is still shorts and ‘T’ shirt weather.
