Sparrowhawk

We visited Martin Mere Wetland Centre this afternoon, on our way to meet up with friends in Southport.

At this time of the year you don't get the quantity of birds that arrive for the winter. But we had plenty to see. We bought a new pair of binochulars too. Just as we were about to leave, this sparrowhawk landed on one of the feeders at the Janet Kear hide.
