SNOW ON THE HILLS IN APRIL
After the excitement of seeing twin lamb being born, Mr. HCB and I were sitting quietly watching the log fire - well, I was sitting watching the flames, but Mr. HCB was doing a Sudoku - when suddenly, he shouted, "It's snowing!" We thought it probably wouldn't settle as it had rained quite heavily just before, but even though it was getting dark, we could see the path was quite white.
When we got up this morning, the car had a layer of frost and when we looked up at the hills, there was quite a covering of snow. Fortunately, it hadn't settled lower down, so we were able to set off in the sunshine, after another hearty breakfast, we had to say our "Goodbyes" to Nora and Derek and make our way home.
Mr. HCB was very obliging and stopped quite often so that I could take photographs - so here are the snow-covered hills just above High Green Farm at Middleton in Lonsdale.
We are now safely back home - again apologies for lack of comments, but many thanks for yours and the stars and hearts you have all left. I am still trying to get over this virus - it's been a nasty one!
Kindness is like snow,
it beautifies
everything it covers.
