Long Day

Urg. Flat tire on hire car. Long wait for roadside assistance, even though I wanted to change it myself. Friendly (and nosy) lady kept offering me her toilet and cups of tea. Got to site. Walked right up and over the hill I was meant to be going to, because it was not a hilly hill. Tracked back, took photos. 

Returned to Edinburgh (and pissing rain). Big L cancelled, so just me A and G for Japanese food at Tang's, followed by science festival lecture. Wasn't too impressed by the person giving lecture. He insists that, in design, function is divorced from meaning. I disagree.
