I did not know the dance

We played shuffleboard and then saw Dancing with the Stars. The stars were dancers and party people of the crew, and most of the crew on the boat is Filipino. One couple, a girl from New Jersey and a Filipino guy named Eddie Spaghetti, were told to dance the Irish Riverdance. She started to do an at least understandable rendition, but then he started to lead.. They gave piggy-back rides, sat on the ground and played patty-cake, do-see-doed, tried to play leap frog, can-canned... When asked at the end, he says, in heavy accent, "I did not know the dance."
