Tawney Frogmouth

  I got this photo a few years ago.  You can see him clearly though.  The one I got today is up in a high gum tree and is a lot less visible.  Todays is the extra photo.  They are masters of sedentary camouflage and look just like a dead branch up in a tree.  I had not seen one on the ground before, but I have read that they will sleep in a shady spot there.  This one took off like a helicopter and seemed to go straight up into a tree after being disturbed.
