Routemaster Boys

My eye caught this iconic Routemaster bus model in a quaint antiques shop. Two things about it made me think back to times past:
1.  The times - as a teenager - I would run and leap on to it's open back entrance, as it was moving off in London's West End;
 
2.  Mr Hunt - a senior neighbour of mine in the 60's-70's who came from Bury, Manchester. He'd tell me stories of journeys he and his family would make into Manchester in these classic buses, years earlier.
