MonoMonday - New Beginnings

What could be more appropriate for a symbol of new beginnings than an egg? The egg was a symbol of rebirth and spring in pre Christians times. Later it symbolised the resurrection of Christ during Easter celebrations.
Spring is slowly appearing in my part of the northern hemisphere and the birds are in a courting and mating frenzy at the moment so there should be little symbols - or new beginnings - everywhere soon. I await with anticipation the new offspring, particularly my stork couple who were I considerately absent from the nest when I drove into town today.
