When the gas boiler failed and the first diagnosis failed and it was now the weekend meaning the central heating would be down for a record breaking 5 days. British Gas kindly supplied two new heaters.

Today with the repair finally complete and heat returned I said to the engineer I would package the two heaters and he could take them with him.

"We're not allowed to take them back after they've been used"
Why?
