Brightness on a Dull Cold Day

Today I have been busy with getting injections and buying birthday presents.

I had my appointment at 10.15am with the nurse to have my tetanus and diphtheria injection also my flu one too. The letter came a few months ago so thought I better get them done. I said I had a tetanus not long ago. She looked it up and said we put you down to have in a about four years time instead of today. I did get my flu one.

Also while I was there I aksed about my leg.. the nurse thought I better have it looked at by a doctor. I had a cut in it when I was in Akaroa in February and it got a little infected, but is soon came right, so didn't see the doctor. Now it has come up in a little lump that seem to be getting bigger. I am having a scan done next week to see what is going on.

Why I was concerned about the leg, that same thing happen with my hand a couple of years ago and I ended up in hospital for a week with bad cellulitis and had to have a operation. With going away a lot I didn't want that happening.

After some time I managed to get my friend a 65th birthday present and got it posted away to Wellington for her. I just couldn't find a gift for John. His birthday is the same say as my friends, this coming Friday.

This rose is another of my neighbours that we can see over our fence. My time ran out to take a walk, so my neighbour to the rescue again.

We are going to a wine tasting tonight so will catch up when I can.
