Rags of light

Mornington Crescent

Up to London for a meeting near Mornington Crescent. If you've ever tried to get there by tube, you'll know it can be a Kafkaesque experience. It's on a tiny branch of the Northern Line near Camden Town and I have spent ages wandering around Euston station looking for the elusive platform that takes you there. No wonder it's the title of a radio quiz game with complicated rules that no-one understands!

The tube station was built in 1907 and restored nearly 90 years later with beautiful brass fittings, blue and yellow tiles, art deco lamps and wooden benches. The blue has come out a bit darker in this photo but you get the idea.
