Alice in Blipland

Malham Cove

I've decided that driving to Malham is like driving to the end of the world. You drive through beautiful countryside and then, in the distance this (above) comes into view. The road forks both right and left but you can't go straight on. It makes it feel like the final destination. Like home IS here because you can't go any further! You've made it.

On a completely unrelated subject. This is the best idea I've heard in a while.

'One of the most effective interventions, known as ciclovia, which originated in Colombia and translates as "cycle path", involves closing city streets to vehicles on Sunday mornings and holidays and opening them to walkers, runners, skaters and cyclists.'

And that's today's one through the looking glass.
