Tomato time
What a wonderful extended summer it's been.
I did despair that I had left my tomato planting too late, but the weather has been kind and they have kicked in.
I adore seeing a platter of tomatoes at varying stages of ripeness. (I pick them when they just start to colour to outsmart the bower birds - the devils).
I have even been known to arrange them on the platter according to their ripeness, I am loathe to admit.
They are summer dressed like the corp de ballet and I love it.
