St Edmund's Memorial Chapel
Tuesday 12th April 2016 (1326)
My niece came over to take Mum out for the day. I went out to play golf at Hunstanton with my sister-in-law. The weather wasn't as good as the forecast and there was an icy cold wind blowing off the sea, with a bit of drizzle at times. Still, we had an enjoyable game, although I lost a few balls in the dykes!
We then went for a lovely lunch and also had a wander round a craft and antiques shop.
We stopped along the front to take this shot. Legend has it that the chapel, built in 1272 to commemorate Edmund, the East Anglo-Saxon King of East Anglia, was constructed on the site of his landing in 855 after crossing the North Sea from Germany.
