Pastries

I'm so thankful to have seen God's goodness today. A few things happened which made R & L miss more acutely their friend who has left for America. Then neighbours who I'm really keen to spend time with, partly because they have a lovely daughter who the girls like, asked us to come over and they'd teach us how to make koleeche (pastries filled with walnuts, dates, cardammon & cinnamon).

It was the first time we'd been let into their kitchen, which is a sign of our friendship deepening, and we stayed for supper AND I was allowed to wash up! I love it when people stop treating us as honoured guests! We made so many pastries and had a lot of fun doing it.
