Gooden's Nomad Bee

Wow I finally have a positive ID on an insect I took a picture of today - this guy - a Gooden's Nomad Bee - or a 'cuckoo bee' - which I assume does mimic the same character as a cuckoo bird - finding a nest, killing all the native bees and pretending to be the offspring of a pure defenceless surrogate mother - like in the feathered cuckoo's case - a reed warbler or a dunnock - it is a 'parasite' - but it's still mighty pretty! :) x
