Lithica Laberints

Forever across Menorca people have been quarrying limestone and building...buildings, walls, statues, castles....and leaving holes in the ground. Lots of holes. Today we visited one of them just outside Cuitedella. It's been split into a variety of different gardens first by the quarrymen and more recently botanists. All have taken advantage of the deep sheltered places created by excavation by various methods and more recently giant circular saws . These have created cathedral like walls as seen in my blip featuring Mrs UE, again, and this time for scale!
