In My Dreams

The irony of this roadside sign was not lost on me this morning because mine doesn't. To be fair thats not strictly true. It works well in the house where it is assissted by a little white box plugged into the computer. The problems start when I go through the door and want to be mobile and I have to drive miles to pick up a signal.

I explained the problem to a polite young man in the phone shop who eventually found the words to tell me that it was all my fault. Apparently I should not have moved house. I tried to point out that I wasn't aware that there was anything that said I couldn't move for the duration of my contract.I added that they could no longer provide the service I was paying for as I did not consider it to be a truly mobile service just because I could use it both upstairs and downstairs. My attempt at gentle humour was lost on him obviously, not part of his script. He smiled shook his head and told me I couldn't cancel my contract.

Roll on October when the contract ends. To be honest I don't know why I'm bothered nobody ever rings me.
