Woodland bluebells
Today the forecast was for sunshine and warm weather so I decided to go in search of some woodland bluebells. The timing of their flowering depends on local weather conditions, when it warms up after the winter but before the canopy of trees is covered in leaves which prevents the sunshine from reaching them on the woodland floor. It got to 18C today, ideal conditions for them to be in flower.
With Thomas back at school and Gavin away in Boston our household is a bit quieter at the moment. Both Luke and Adam worked most of the day. I did suggest putting their phones in another room so as not to be distracted by the constant stream of social media messages and the temptation of reading rubbish on Facebook, but of course that was such a ridiculous idea, silly me!
