In one way it seems No time at all since we landed in the sunshine of Vienna airport, but we have done so much in three and a bit days that it seems longer. Checked out of the lovely Singerstrasse Hotel and walked over the bridge by the side of the Park to the railways station that would drop us right at the entrance to the airport. As the railways are owned by the government they are very cheap and it only cost €4.30 for the two of us on a journey of twenty minutes. Very efficient ! As you would expect in Austria where rules count!

Arrived at the budget airline gate door which strangely had the bag cage kinda in front of it but there were people from our flight in the room so we went in. Then an Easyjet employee came and said we all had to go out to then come back in again showing our passports and boarding cards! We wondered how it would work with the speedy boarders getting on the bus whether they would get their own bus but it was them on then a barrier between them and us so that their door could open first then once they were on the steps our door would then open so we could get on! Not sure how much it costs for speedy boarding but not sure it's worth it unless you were elderly or with young kids.

A good flight back to Edinburgh touching down in rain and low cloud. Welcome home!

It's been another fabulous city break. I didn't realise I would enjoy Vienna quite as much as we did. I suppose the bonus was the warm sunshine with me being a lover of the warm sun on my face. The buildings are beautiful, everywhere is clean with practically no litter lying around. We had lovely pit stops for refreshments when on the go. Only thing I didn't get to do that I really wanted was to see the Lipperzaners - well that just means have to return!!
