Imaginative play in the morning! Love it!

I woke up to find Colby had taken his "road rug" out of his closet, gathered a few of his favorite matchbox cars and set up his own working city there in the living room.

It's fun to watch as he moves cars around on the rug, makes braking sounds as they approach intersections or shouts friendly greetings to car's passing by.

Sure, the "road rug" takes up a large chunk of my living room, and yes, indeed it hurts when you step on a car... but the creative, imaginative juices that flow because it's there is worth it!
