Beach barricade

These large concrete blocks line the beach at Sandend where we have just spent a couple of nights camping. Originally installed as a deterrent/ prevention measure against invasion, during the war. Today they serve a better purpose, and work to help stop erosion of the sand dunes which lie behind them. They remind me of chunks of Rocky Road, which is, I suppose, a fair description of what they were meant to be.
