American Bald Eagle

A pair of eagles have lived in a large nest just outside of town for quite a few years.  Today was the perfect day to walk out and visit (or rather upset) them.  This one was sitting peacefully in the nest until Anna and I came nosing around, then it started to fly back and forth.  This is a good time of year to go, before there are too many leaves on the trees.  We didn't stay long because there are probably young ones in the nest.  By the time we were in the car and driving away it was back home again.
