Bike woes

After yesterday morning's snapped chain on the way to the bench, I spent about 90 mins repairing the chain.

While I had the bike on a stand I thought I'd fine tune some other bits, last of which was pumping the tyres. Unfortunately this one exploded and ripped the wheel rim apart.

I did get to the bench by nicking the front wheel off my boy's bike which is still here but a large portion of time and dosh has gone on new wheel, tyre, tube and while I was at it brake cables. Sigh. Cycling is supposed to be simple.
