Quail in a Quandry
Blipmate and I had an early excursion this week to look for fungi again. However, my heart was taken by the flock of quail who appeared while I was trying to capture the toetoe grass. They didn't realise I was there and I managed to capture this one strolling past me before they realised all was not well in their world. Not a great backdrop with the strong sunlight and shade but I do love those comical little birds.
The extra is of the flock of birds hot footing it across the road after realising I was close by and armed - if only with a camera. The extra thumbnail doesn't give a good idea of them.
