Went to the RHS show at Tatton today. Although I wasn't aware it, today had been declared 'Ladies Day' and so there were a lot of 'ladies' who had come dressed as though they were going to a wedding!!! It was utterly bizarre, and not in a charmingly eccentric way, God knows what they were thinking.
Among the vast array of different plant varieties, it was the fly-catchers or carnivorous plants that fascinated me. They seem to approach the idea of being a plant in a totally different way. This display was one of the best at the show.
Finally, while I don't want to sound like a misery, £28 is a whacking great entrance fee, particularly when the show was, for the most part, the same as last year.
