Brown-necked Raven(Corvus ruficollis)
Not a seen before House Crow, but a much bigger bird and larger than a Carrion Crow, a Brown-necked Raven. Of course my youngest son would say 'they all look the same' this one does look like many other birds of the Corvid family, although I think that you can see this one does have a brown head and neck. Intelligent and adaptable this bird was out in the sand dunes and was looking for something to eat. A big bird that can look rather menacing and although not a beauty he has brains! Lovely to see another new bird and he just stayed around long enough for a quick portrait. Someone told me today a swarm of locusts are heading our way-this bird would like that-me not so much!
