Cooling towers

As I sauntered down the lane to look on my works my eye was caught by this composition. It's the posts that hold the frame of the compost heap over the privet hedge.

Earlier I was sorting wood and saw a bronzed Slow Worm posing. Run run, I ran to get camera, but it had gone long before I returned, warmed in the brilliant sun (again).

I built a new terraced veg bed on a steep slope in the garden using old timber baulks I'd collected from the beach and one all the way from SW France when helping out the Judge and Jury. Seemed better to use them than fret over what use I might one day put them to.

The quince bushes are looking great (extra).
