Capital Ring 4 - Going Underground

The Woolwich Foot tunnel

Just over a year since the last leg but today it was a good day to do Stoke Newington to Woolwich, as SR has a few days off before she starts her new job.

Once you do a 15 min walk to springfield park its great scenery in the park and on Walthamstow and Hackney marshes along the river lee navigation. It slowly gets more industrial/urban as you head to hackney wick. That section was SRs faviourite so far and there is a shot in the extras.  A stop for lunch at the Crate brewery - nice pizza and american pale.  Then down through the olympic park and down the greenway to west ham past the back of Adam and mslouellas house. The greenway is nicely elevated, as it built on top of the giant sewer pipes, and heads to Becton and from their we headed off along the thames to the foot tunnel.
