Life's Journey

Moving on

Took a deep breath today to start working through some of my Dad's things. It's a year and a half since he died and I've happily left the box files and photo albums alone. However I need the space so...

My Dad managed to juggle a lot of balls, as a Headmaster, Magistrate, executive for English Schools Athletics, Education roles on the council, National Council for School Sport & even President of the Allotment Society. His leather diary was in and out of his suit pocket constantly. Sorting through thirty years of diaries, the smell of leather was a powerful trigger and the sight of his distinctive writing wrings my heart every time I see it. Really really tough to part with these.
