My buddy, the grey heron

I checked by entries and saw that this grey heron (I'm assuming it's the same one) was on our pond back on March 30. Yesterday I had a fleeting glimpse of it as it flew away, it just caught the corner of my eye. Today, it was on the edge of the pone again for a while, then hunkered down in the grass. Pretty soon it left again. Mr M thinks its migrating, but I wonder if that is the case, would it still be in the same area two weeks later? Unless perhaps it's not the same one. I have no idea, but I'm always happy to see it.
