Dabchick

It's a while since I've taken my 100-400mm lens into work, and on the way home this evening I spent some time photographing three things - Dabchicks, teasels and aircraft. I had reasonable shots of all three, but the Dabchick won blip of the day, on account of their elusiveness. Later in the breeding season they seem to have become less skittish as well as less vocal and more willing to come closer onshore. The light was still quite challenging and this was the sharpest shot, though some others showed more interesting behaviour !
