The Lady in Red

Generally miserable rainy weather today but it did pause for a short while this afternoon which allowed Rod & John to finish the roofing of the 1930's pavilion; and rather good it looks too.

The choice of red was a bit of an adventure.  The original slates were also red, though somewhat dulled after 85 years.  As the area is very dark green with the trees, the red works rather well.

Steve will, weather willing, be back tomorrow on the carving and tomorrow also sees our annual gathering of friends, neighbours and doomfrogs*.  Wonder if Steve knows he's the entertainment?
