Feeding the ducks
Tom is one of the kind over-75's who have volunteered to help me with my Graded Unit project. He celebrated his 91st birthday yesterday.
He wanted to be photographed feeding the ducks outside the rowing club, so that's what we did first thing this morning. I was impressed to see that although Tom walks with a stick, he can touch his toes. He usually only allows the ducks one slice of bread, but this morning they had two. It didn't last very long, though.
You might find this hard to believe, but apparently people in Britain feed six million loaves a year to ducks....I read read recently that it is better to feed them kale, or sweetcorn, or even (defrosted) frozen peas.
